Happy New Year!!!

The days fly and we are a few hours from year end....

I take this chance to post here my last 2007 card, and Lay Out!

The card was made with the Christmas line of Elsie F., Bazzil, and magnolia stamp coloured with Derwent Colorsoft.

The LO represents not only a really nice moment this year ( when we were in Curacao), as well as some of the things that make me happy! All the materials on the LO are from the Creative Cafe line.

the olliebollen ( typical Dutch pastery) are ready and we got also portuguese traditional stuff...

The Karaoke is also ready, and the fireworks are downstairs.... we are ready to go, leave this year behind and embrace the coming one!

Let us hope this coming year will be a good one,... healthy, happy and creative!

Busy, busy, busy.....

It's known that this time of the year is quite hectic, and this year I have join the mass shopping for presents, food, and everything required to celebrate Christmas...

Yesterday I managed to buy myself a treat,... nou ja,... another one dus,... and I bought 10 pro markers to colour my Magnolia stamps,.... That's what I call an addiction...

These stamps are so cute and well designed, that the first time I saw them, it took me three days to decide which would be my top three ( which ended in much more!) so I could order them! *LOL*

Swimming Exam and one tooth less!

Today was a gorgeous day,.... 2 degrees ( Outch!), but really sunny and amazing blue sky... However, instead of staying outside, we went to the swimmingpool... Duarte had his Zwemwardigheid 1 Exam today, he is really like a little dolphin and passed the exam without a problem.... Yep, I am proud! After the exam, his second upper tooth came out,... again another proof that my son is growing, sometimes too fast !
So here's a big cheer to him foor being such a great kid and to make me so proud of being his mom!
And of course, I could only upload a LO's where he is the center of attention! ;-)

Lay Outs

As promissed, some of the scrapbooking lay outs I have made the last month...

The first one was made with the Prima paintables paper, which needs to be coloured (I did it with accuarel pencils and gliter pigments)...

The second one, was made with crate paper PP, bazzill and several embelishments.

I have to say, this is that time of the year where it feels like staying home, so it is becoming a pure joy to have some hours for my own....

Almost 10 years....

Looking outside to the cold weather I can only think of warm places, so today here is an old photo to keep up the summer spirit alive!!!!Heerlijk!!!

Also, one week from now will be for us an important day,....

we will celebrate 10 years of being in The Netherlnads!!!!

If you question if in the meanwhile I have learn some Dutch, yes I did, I speak it fluently, I read it and I write it as well, however, because my family abroad doesn't , I decided to create this blog and write mainly in english,...

And let's face it,... most Dutch people speak english anyway, so I hope I get some Dutch people around here too! :-)

I am hoping I have some more scrapping time this week, so I can post some nice stuff in here too....

Just another day....

Another week has started and I don't even realise how close we are from Christmas.
Today the sun is shinning outside (WOW!!!) which is something I have learned to appreciate after leaving in the Netherlands for 10 years...
Still, I just feel like being at home...
I would like to have time to organize my all those drawers full of " stuff", read a good book, and of course,scrap and make cards!I have been busy this weekend so photos will follow up shortly!

here I go again!

Another month has passed, and it was so busy that I seem to have forgoten all about the fact that I had sometime in October created a blog,... *ZUCHT*

So this is a second attempt, to try and post something with some kind of regularity arround here!!!

The last days have been killing... I have a terible cold already for a week, which doesn't develop to a "stay in bed"stage, but also insists in making me feel horible the whole day,...!
I am glad that my creatvity hasn't been caught by it, and that I managed to make some scrap lay outs the last days,... and also one Magnolia card ( PP My Mind's Eye, Bazzill, Prima flowers)....

Hum,... I need to dedicate a whole part to the Magnolia stamps issue,... that's what I call a creativity addiction, hehehehe

Who can resist these stamps, hum?!?!

Mushrooms, Padestoelen or Cogumelos

Yesterday was an amazing day, sunny warm, and surely not apropriate to October in The Nedelands, however, as I am a person who believes in "carpe diem" ( I know someone who calls it living joy, hehe), I jumped on the bike ( WOW!) and went with the litle guy to the park, searching for mushrooms so I can scrap some photos.... and can you believe that I got some really good ones?! Check this out!

Finally!

And, here it is,... nagging about it for a couple of months,... should I do it, or should I not,.. which language, and for what,....
Nou ja,.... languages will be enough, between Portuguese, English and Dutch and for the record I will try to write something which makes sense,...!
About what?! About the present, about the future, about my dreams about my hopes, my fears, but most of all, about whatever I feel like,... that's what blogs are for, right?!?!
Oh ja,... and about photography, and about scrapbooking and cards making,.... and about all those things which make life fun!
